I thought it was about time for a new blog. As I've said before I'm not good at keeping up to date. Today I would like to talk about txting.
Or as it should be spelt Texting.
To be honest I hate it. I wish that all phones had the texting function removed. For me it just feels like a waste of time. I'd rather a million times over just call the person and have a quick conversation instead of a million pointless "txts" back and forth full of confusion and getting nowhere. I will admit that texting is good for some things like getting one set message across to many people at once. But now we have facebook for that (Another subject that needs discussion(facebook)).
The feeling of technology loathing has been growing and growing in me much more lately. I miss the days of no mobile phones and no internet. Even easy accessible cameras annoy me. I work in a child's play centre and the amount of parents who want to take a million photos of they're child is incredible. And when I have to ask the parents to not take photos they get offended like I'm calling them a paedophile. But the truth of the matter is only a few years ago nobody carried a camera around in their bags all the time so there was no need for these rules. Cameras weren't in phones or walkmans and other old technology like that. Really this world is becoming obsessed with documenting they're lives and its getting silly. I'd rather see my child grow up through my own eyes and not through a camera screen. to see them running and playing instead of posing awkwardly until mum is done taking a zillion and one photos.
I guess what I'm getting at is people should get out and live they're lives, turn your phones off for a whole day. Leave the computer switched off and unplug the TV. Have a facebook free month like dry July is for alcohol because technology is addictive its just harder to see.
I guess thats why I'm so horrible at updating this blog because I'd rather be riding my bike or seeing my friends.
Whoa! Sorry about that, I really have got to stop being so preachy in these things.
Until next time...
